The cushions are relatively thick and the material isn't too scratchy.  One thing about the cushions that I really like - the 2 back cushions velcro together where they meet so they won't fall off the chair constantly! My plan is to have this on my covered front porch as a free-standing chair. It looks pretty good and is not obviously a piece of a sectional. It would be a great comfy chair for a small porch or outdoor corner or I'm sure the whole sectional would look great in a back yard.

I would say this is decent, sturdy furniture that would probably last a few seasons if cared for properly. You may find a better value elsewhere, but Amazon stands behind this and will deliver it to your door! I've written other reviews for pieces of this Strathwood patio furniture line; overall, we are very pleased with their style, quality and comfort.

The only think that I wish these pieces had are some sort of hook or clasp to keep the pieces together when they are positioned as a couch.

Without the hook/clamp the pieces do move and slide around easily. We purchased clamps on our own to make sure all pieces stay in place but, overall, this Strathwood Griffen All-Weather Wicker Sectional Corner Chair is a great product for a really great price!
