The J.A. Henckels International Eversharp 8-Piece Steak Knife Set are great steak knives, sharp and easy to handle and at a good price. We had a set of these Henckel knives for years but as it seems to happen, all but 2-3 had disappeared. But whenever I found one in the utensil drawer I was really happy.

Even after years they remained sharp and the grips had not deteriorated at all. Not sure why others may have been disappointed. They're not the finest steak knives you can buy, far from that. And though they are more lightweight than I would've liked, they're sturdy, comfortable in the hand, sharp, and you don't have to worry too much if something happens to them.
