If you have ever used Henckel knife before, you
are familiar with the high quality and durability. What I really liked
about this Zwilling J.A. Henckels Twin Gourmet 8-Piece Steak Knife Set was the knife box. This purchase was for my in-laws and
the the box really made it stand out.

These Zwilling J.A. Henckels Twin Gourmet 8-Piece Steak knives are a wonderful touch to setting an
elegant place at the table. No rough looking giant steak knives here.
These knives cut through steaks of various size and texture with ease.
Even used in a casual setting these knives fit in. Very tasteful as well
as useful.
- 4-1/2-inch serrated blades slice steaks, chops, roasts
- Made of high-carbon stainless steel with synthetic handles
- Wood storage box has hinged top, two snap closures
- Dishwasher-safe knives; made in Spain
- Lifetime warranty against defects
From one of Henckels' moderately priced cutlery lines, these eight
steak knives divide any rib eye, chop, or roast into bite-size pieces
and then store in a handsome wood box. The thin, curved blades are
perfect for precise cutting, although their fine serrations tend to
tear meat fibers rather than slice neatly through them.
I got a Zwilling J.A. Henckels Twin Gourmet 8-Piece Steak Knife set of four of these same steak knives for Christmas 2009, and they've been excellent. They've seen constant use and are still razor-sharp. It's been a real revelation to me: So this is what good kitchen knives are like, and this is why they cost more than the lightweight stuff!
Ours get used at least weekly. We put them in the dishwasher and they wash up fine. Mine are still nice and sharp after 5 years of use too. At $100 they are a very good value for the price. I looked them up on here for a gift for my mother for their second home.
This Zwilling J.A. Henckels Twin Gourmet 8-Piece Steak Knife Set with Box product earned 49 customer reviews and 84% are satisfied (as 28/01/2014). I've never had a genuinely good chef's knife, paring knife, etc. But when I'm ready to get a serious set, I know exactly what brand I'll buy.
