Due to their sleek lines food particles don't get stuck. They are a great look with my squared dishes without looking too out there. I liked the J.A. Henckels Premier Series Opus the best. It's simple and classy and feels substantial and well-balanced. I have used it every day for six weeks with no issues with staining or knife halves becoming separated. They have exceeded my expectations.

The hold is natural in the hand, the forks are STURDY, and the knifes are quality to the tee. In looking at other reviews, people need to understand that flatware will WEAR over time. I don't expect the J.A. Henckels Premier Series Opus pieces to stay shiny and new.

I also like that the knives are sharp enough to use with most meals, but not too pointy. The spoons are great as well (not too shallow, not too deep). What's more, I just got back from visiting friends up in Seattle who have this SAME set, and have had it for 6 years. Still looks great.. well used, but great.

The only major event a couple of spoons and forks didn't survive well was the disposal, which resulted in a couple nicks and bent tines. Beautiful-looking, long lasting set. And I don't see myself ever buying a different set as long as this one is on the market.
