I drink a lot of water and I can truthfully say that I have been feeling a whole lot better since I have been drinking steam distilled water. I do not recommend using hot water from the tap - the process is shorter, but the quality (taste) of water is worse. I use it roughly once a day, and it makes great-tasting water. I am waiting on a small piece of granite from California, to add some minerals to it. I would definitely recommend this product for anyone who is unhappy with drinking tap water. I currently live in Japan, and the water out here is pretty horrible, so this distiller is a god-send for me.

Pros:

• -Deliver 4L of water every time, despite ~5 hrs of operation, starting it at night and water is ready the other day.
• -The purest water you can ask for. True 000pm water, and this is consistent - no worry on filter depreciation nor replacement needed,
• -Easy to use: Just like any water boiler, pour water in it and call it a day
• -Easy to clean: It has a bottle of citric acid following with the package. The stuck minerals in the interior can be effectively removed by boiling the water with the acid powder; no need to polish it with sponge.
• -No steam coming out at all: It has a great seal such that all steam are collected and turned back into water in the glass container, you don't have to worry about the steam coming out and water condensing elsewhere

Cons:

• -Large: The picture may not be clearly showing how large it is, but it's something like a large pot which can hold 4L of water, and a very thick steam collector, you may need to consider the clearance of your counter if there is any hanging cabinets above
