Excellent Quality Reviews Oneida Mooncrest 45-Piece Flatware Set, Service for 8

I have had a set of Oneida Mooncrest silverware since the summer of 2007 and I absolutely love it. The pieces are very comfortable and feel very well-made. I sure can recommend this Oneida silverware set. It's probably not the highest quality (18/10 steel, other Oneida sets would have some higher value I think), which is adequately reflected in the price.

I really don't have any discoloration issues with any of the stainless. Since I now have a dishwasher, they do get water spots, but when I feel it's an issue I just wash and dry by hand and they go away. They are good solid pieces and the fork and spoon shapes are to my liking, being more slightly more wide and squat than long and thin, and they are an appropriate weight, rather than feeling too light or somewhat hallow.

After having debated whether I should buy a higher quality steel for a second set, I decided to buy another set of the Oneida Mooncrest, because it simply looks very good (received even compliments on it), and is functional enough for daily use and classy enough to serve guests with. You can tell, I'm happy with my choice.

In response to the complaints of rust or quality loss, I would like to point out that the flatware comes with a 25 year warranty so be sure to register your purchase to qualify. Occasionally all lines of products, whether silverware, electronics, clothing, etc, have items shipped out that are imperfect.

There is something about the weight and balance that makes it 'comfortable'. It is sturdy and doesn't bend, even when scooping ice cream. If you are looking for ornate, this isn't the silverware for you but I think it is attractive. It looks better than the picture. I recommend ordering a Oneida set today. You will not be disappointed.
